Obv: Diademed and draped bust of King Antimachus I right.
Rev: Poseidon standing left, holding trident and palm frond; Greek legend around.
Silver.
NGC Choice XF — Strike: 5/5, Surface: 1/5 (smoothing, edge filing).

A large and impressive silver tetradrachm from the Greco-Bactrian Kingdom, struck under Antimachus I, one of the most distinctive rulers of the mid-2nd century BC. His coinage reflects the flourishing Hellenistic culture of Central Asia, where Greek artistry met the rich trade networks of the East.

The obverse displays a bold, lifelike portrait of the king, crowned with the royal diadem. The reverse features Poseidon, god of the sea, standing with his trident and palm frond — a striking and unusual type within the Bactrian series, symbolizing power, resilience, and prosperity.

Graded Choice XF by NGC, this coin boasts a perfect Strike (5/5), with sharply defined details on both obverse and reverse. While noted for smoothing and edge filing, the artistry and scale of this tetradrachm remain immediately impressive in hand.
